Strafford County is in the eastern part of the state. The county seat is Dover.
The population in 2000 was 112,233. The largest towns are Rochester, Dover, and Durham.
Strafford is bordered by Carroll County to the north, the State of Maine to the east, Rockingham County to the south, and Belknap and Merrimack Counties to the west.
