Submissions must be for animal welfare in the state of Illinois.

Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual

Only submissions offering information on more than one metro area or the entire state will be considered for this category. This may include regional guides, organizations, some events and conferences, and online communities.

If your site is specific to a city, please submit to the most appropriate subcategory within the local category.

Subject matter relating specifically to the gay, lesbian, and bisexual community of Illinois.

Genealogy

Please note that nearly all of Illinois' counties have one or more genealogical sites listed.

Although only a few counties contain 'Genealogy' categories, it is highly recommended to check out the desired county category, and submit county-level genealogical societies, USGenWeb Project, Illinois Trails Project, or related resources to that level.

Religion

Please do NOT submit sites related to local church, religious or spiritual groups to this state-level category. Local church, religious or spiritual groups should be submitted to the appropriate .../Localities or Society and Culture: By_Locality category.

Continue to submit local groups to localities, regardless if they have their own .../Society_and_Culture/Religion category.

Includes links of interest the State of Illinois regarding religion and spirituality.

Reunions

This category contains links to local categories for reunions, except for high school or college reunions which should be placed in the appropriate locality's Education: Reunions and Alumni category, as appropriate.

Seniors

Please submit sites related to senior citizens of a particular city, village or town to the appropriate locality.

Please submit sites related to assisted living centers in a particular city, village or town to the appropriate locality or its Health subcategory, if one exists. -AND- submit Assisted Living Facilities.

Please note that very few localities will specifically have a separate, "Seniors" category; however, still submit these sites to the top-level category or its "Society_and_Culture" category, if one exists.

This category contains links to resources and organizations directed towards mature Illinois citizens at the state-level.

Examples of sites may include (but not limited to) statewide organizations for retired workers, grandparents' rights associations, and support communities.

Women

This category contains links to resources and organizations directed toward women, and related issues, such as health issues, and advocacy.

Organizations and resources associated with parenting, which are related to both women and men, will be located in the Society_and_Culture category.

Organizations and resources associated with childcare are located in the Kids category.
