USS Wright

Sites related to decommissioned U.S. Navy ship USS Wright. She was commissioned 1 September 1945 as CVL-49. USS Wright decommissioned at Bremerton, Washington, in March 1956. While in reserve, she was redesignated an aircraft transport (AVT-7) in May 1959. She was converted to a command ship in 1962 and recommissioned in May 1963 as CC-2. She was decommissioned in May 1970 and sold for scrap in July 1980.
