The Office of Science and Technology Policy has a number of subdivisions including the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), and the National Security and International Affairs Division. The United States Senate confirms the appointment of the Assistant to the President for Science and Technology who serves as OSTP's Director.
National Science and Technology Council
Cabinet-level Council is the principal means for the President to coordinate science, space, and technology to coordinate the diverse parts of the Federal research and development enterprise.
Office of Science and Technology Policy
Provides the President with policy advice in areas of fundamental science, education and scientific literacy, investment in applied research, and international cooperation.
U.S. Global Change Research Program
Integrates federal research on climate and global change, as sponsored by thirteen federal agencies. Provides information on US Federal policy, news, publications and resources.
