Granite Bay is an unincorporated area which hugs the western shore of Folsom Lake in south Placer County. It fills in an area east of Roseville, south of Loomis and north of Folsom. Granite Bay's location has made it a natural gathering place for the affluent. It includes some hilly terrain and affords gorgeous views of the lake.

Guatay is an unincorporated community that lies just north of Interstate 8 in the Laguna mountains of eastern San Diego County. Its population, including surrounding areas, is 782, according to the 2000 census figures for the Guatay ZIP code, 91931.

Gustine, with a 2000 population of about 4,300, is located on the west side of Merced County near Interstate 5, about 30 miles west of Merced. The nearest incorporated place is Newman, just across the Stanislaus County line to the north. Gustine was established in 1895 and incorporated in 1915. Like many west side communities, Gustine is within commuting range of the San Francisco Bay area and expects an increasing population.
