1   Business and Economy
This category is for websites about business and economic activities. Most, or perhaps even all, of the sites currently in a category are the sites of businesses. Yet the category is also appropriate for related sites, such as professional and trade organizations, business directories, and industry profiles, as long as they are directed exclusively to the business and economic activities of the category's geographic area.

Some types of businesses are located under other categories, such as the Arts and Entertainment, Recreation and Sports, and Travel and Tourism categories. If you are looking for a business related to one of our other listed topics, check there.

A subcategory of this category is created when there are enough sites about the specific topic to make a separate subcategory desirable. Until then, the sites are listed here.

1.1   Advertising and Marketing
This category is for websites about business and economic activities related to advertising and marketing. Topics include agencies, consultants, and services.

Please note that websites about photography and video production are not listed here. Photography sites are listed in the Arts and Entertainment category. Video production sites are listed in the Business and Economy category (in the subcategory, when available, titled Industries: Entertainment).

1.2   Agriculture
This category is for websites about business and economic activities related to agriculture. Examples include sites about vineyards, farm markets, "you pick" farms, livestock auctions, livestock breeders, seed farms, tree farms, commercial nurseries (i.e., producing nursery stock for sale to retailers), turf farms, agricultural equipment suppliers, and similar businesses.

1.4   Automotive
This category is for websites about business and economic activities related to motor vehicles. Topics include sales, parts, supplies, repairs, and service, as well as sites specific to automobiles, SUVs, motorcycles, RVs, trucks, and trailers.

1.5   Business to Business
This category is for websites about businesses that primarily provide goods and services to other area businesses, and whose physical location in the area is key to making them an important supplier to other businesses in the area.

These businesses may or may not sell products and services nationally, or even internationally. The important thing is that their physical presence here is important to other businesses here.

Here are several examples why such a physical presence can be important:
1. They maintain a local inventory and showroom where customers can come to see products and make purchases.
2. They provide direct services in the immediate area, such as service calls for repairs and installation.
3. They create custom products where dealing face-to-face is helpful.

1.6   Classifieds
This category is for websites providing online classified advertising.

1.7   Computers
This category is for websites about business and economic activities related to computers. Topics include businesses that sell, repair, and service computer hardware and software, as well as businesses that offer consulting services.
