York is one of 13 Regional municipalities in the Province of Ontario, Canada. It is made up of nine area municipalities: Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Whitchurch-Stouffville , some of which are themselves amalgamations of smaller towns and villages.
