Please submit sites that are specific to the township of Lake of Bays! Sites that have mailing addresses in other small towns should be submitted to that location i.e. Baysville. For example if your site/business is based in Dorset, then submit your site to the Dorset location. Sites that do not have a physical location in the Lake of Bays Township but conduct a large portion of their business here will be researched and considered on an individual basis. Sites that are directories for Lake of Bays should be submitted ONLY ONCE! |
The Township of Lake of Bays is located in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, east of Huntsville and west of Algonquin Park. It is accessed by Highways 117, 35 and 60.The Township consists of the villages of Baysville, Dorset, Dwight and Hillside. Baysville, Dorset and Dwight are on the shores of Lake of Bays, while Hillside is on the shore of Peninsula Lake. As well, within the municipal boundaries there are a number of smaller lakes such as Walker Lake, Oxbow Lake and Bella Lake.

The title should be either the company's name or, where it seems more appropriate, that of the site itself -- and no more than this. In other words, phrases like "Welcome to ..." and "Your friendly/local ..." are both superfluous and destined for deletion. In turn, the Description should be free of personal pronouns and worded the way an observer and/or reviewer of the site would describe it and its content. Thus "Our mission is to serve your needs" needs altering to something like "Company's emphasis is on customer service." In effect, the title and description should simply let people know who's at the back of it and what information it contains or conveys. |
The Town of Lincoln is one of Niagara's twelve regional municipalities, but it embraces several communities, none of which bears its name. Beamsville is the location of its municipal offices, with Jordan and Vineland being two other settlements of any size. Its category will probably contain only a limited number of sites. Most of those that are located within the Town are morely likely to be indexed in the three separate Localities that are linked to it.
