Francis Harry Compton Crick - British molecular biologist (1916 - ). He was the co-ordinator with J. D. Watson, of the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA.He worked mainly in Cambridge until 1977, when he moved to the Salk Institute in San Diego.
He shared the Nobel Prize for 1962 with J.D. Watson and M.H. Wilkins.
Richard Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist and ethologist, and was the first person to hold the Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He is the author of several popular science books, and an outspoken atheist.
