There are a growing number of "official" long-distance cycle routes in the UK, many (but not all) part of the Sustrans National Cycling Network. They are generally named, and signed.
- "Day-out" short routes should be submitted in the Recreation and Sports category for your locality.
- Travelogues for a named route may be submitted to that route's sub-category; otherwise, please use the Cycling/Travelogues category.
| This category is for sites offering services to cyclists, and for the personal sites of people who have travelled from Sea to Sea. |
The Sea to Sea Cycle Route is the flagship of Sustrans. It is a wonderful route through the Northern Lake District and over the Pennines, beginning on the Cumbria coast at Whitehaven or Workington on the Irish Sea, and finishing in Sunderland or Tynemouth on the North Sea.
