Abyssinian

Abyssinians are reputed to be of African origin and have a coat with markings typically associated with a wild cat.. The Somali is a long haired Abyssinian.

Asian

Bred primarily in England. These cats are of European Burmese type but differ in colour, patterns, and coat lengths.

Asian includes Burmillas, Bombays and Tiffanies. Tabbies are bred in all recognised patterns. Cats may be shorthairs or semi-longhairs.

Bengal

Descended from a cross between wild Asian Leopard cats and domestic cats.

Birman

A semi longhaired colour pointed cat with a stocky body and four white feet.

Including Colourpoint Longhairs, otherwise known as Colourpoint Persians or Himalayan.

Siamese

The Siamese is a well known colour pointed short haired cat of oriental appearance. The Balinese is a long haired Siamese.

Sphynx

Also known as the hairless cat.
