Top: Regional: Europe: United_Kingdom: England: London

If your site is not specifically geared towards this location, please submit to the proper category. Submitting to the wrong category will delay and/or prevent your site from being listed in the directory.
LONDON is a category for anything specific to Greater London But NOT all sorts of national items that *happen* to be in London.

The section consists mainly of sub-categories, as most sites deserve a clearer definition than just LONDON. Most local sites, for instance, might fit better in Borough sub-categories, so there's one for each. Cinemas, for example, might fit in a local category, or entertainment - but not both! Business can either be placed in the appropriate business category or in the Borough but once again - not both!

The open directory has the human touch, but is also a search engine, so you will always find what you want! Please choose the category that will fit your site carefully and do not make multiple submissions. Please make the title reflect your site's purpose (if it is a business, then use your business name) The Description should be a proper sentence and not a list of key words. Please keep the description short.

Thank you

Camden

Please submit only links for venues and organisations based in Camden.

The Borough of Camden occupies a large section of central and north-west London. It stretches from Bloomsbury and Holborn in the south to Kilburn, Hampstead and Highgate in the north.

This category includes resources that are uniquely relevant to living, working or visiting Camden.

City of London

Please be SURE that the url you are submitting is most relevant to the tiny financial centre of "The City", Regional/Europe/United Kingdom/England/London/City of London and not to the larger metropolis Regional/Europe/United Kingdom/England/London/
The City of London is very distinct from "London", the huge capital to which it gave its name. The City of London, almost always known as "The City" or "The Square Mile", which is roughly its area, is a tiny district of London, on the north side of the Thames between the Inns of Court and The Tower of London. Traditionally the centre of commerce and trade for the whole country and, briefly, the world, it remains the financial centre of London, of the UK and arguably of Europe. It is the traditional headquarters of financial services companies, although many are moving to Canary Wharf. The City has an ancient power structure, very different from that of a newer London Borough, characterised by very strong links between government and commerce.

Croydon

Please only submit here if you have a 'physical' location only in the London Borough of Croydon. Listings in this category are NOT based on the business coverage area.

If you have offices in more than 1 London borough then please submit to the appropriate sub-category in United_Kingdom/England/London

Submissions that don't comply with the above may well be declined or experience a delay in being reviewed by the correct editors.

This category is for sites that either cover the whole of the area or sites that do not have a specific locality. Please submit your site to the appropriate sub-category within this one as very few sites will fit into here.

Ealing

Please only submit general interest online guides and online directories specific to the borough of Ealing (and the places within it) to this category.

Enfield

To belong in here or any of its topical subcategories, it should usually be reasonably clear to the casual reader that the submitted site is in some way specifically "about" Enfield. Common examples include an organisation which meets wholly or mostly within the borough, a business which has a shop open to the public and whose sole or main location is here, or a service which is wholly or mainly for Enfield people.

Where appropriate, please submit to the most appropriate subcategory. For example, school sites belong in Education, businesses of all types go to Business & Economy, churches into the Religion and Spirituality subcat of Society and Culture.

The borough of Enfield was created by the merger of Enfield, Edmonton and Southgate in 1965. Formerly part of the county of Middlesex, it is currently the northernmost London borough, though the Middlesex name lives on as an optional part of the postal address.

Greenwich

Please only submit websites either about, or businesses located in, the Borough of Greenwich. For sites outside the Borough, use the following link to determine the appropriate category: Top: Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: London

Havering is a Unitary Authority and the second largest Borough in Greater London, with a population of around 230,000 and an area approaching 40 square miles, half of which is in the Green Belt. Havering has a short border on the River Thames and parts of Thames Chase forest lie within the Borough.

The name 'Havering' originated from the picturesque village of Havering-atte-Bower. Edward the Confessor is supposed to have passed through in the 11th Century and told a local resident / peasant to "Have Ring".

Largest towns are Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster, which form an urban axis joined by the A124, essentially bisecting the Borough, into a northern and southern half. Rainham, the other big town in the south, is just off the A13.

Other places within the urbanised parts are: Ardleigh Green, Collier Row, Corbetts Tey, Cranham, Elm Park, Emerson Park, Gidea Park, Hacton, Harold Hill, Harold Wood, Rise Park and Squirrels Heath.

Rural satellites to the north are Havering-atte-Bower and Noak Hill, with North Ockendon to the east and Wennington to the south.

Health

Important - Please Read

We list individual practitioners within their verifiable boroughs. Only those with premises in multiple London boroughs and none elsewhere can be listed here.

You can easily find the borough by putting a post code into UpMyStreet

To be listed within London at all, it's essential that there be an address with post code actually on the website - preferably on a Contact Us page or equivalent so that we can easily find it.

Practitioners, including those who have chosen not to reveal their addresses, may be eligible for additional listings at UK level

Listing suggestions ignoring the above will be delayed - possibly infinitely.

This means you.

The Red Bridge, after which the borough is named, was the brick bridge over the River Roding. It symbolises the joining of Ilford with Wanstead and Woodford.

Redbridge is located in the North East of London and encompasses 13,900 acres. North to South the Borough measures 5.8 miles, East to West it is 4.4 miles across. Known as the "leafy" suburb, Redbridge boasts 1,200 acres of forest and 600 acres of green park land.
