"Great Expectations" is a 1999 BBC dramatisation of the Charles Dickens novel. Philip Pirrip, played by Ioan Gruffudd, is expected to become a blacksmith, but hating the smithy, he has a secret longing to be a gentleman. When he meets the mysterious Miss Havisham his dream starts to become true.
