Real Estate agents should suggest their site to the real estate category for the locality (i.e. city, town, etc) in the country in which their head office is located.

If you submit your site to this category and it does not belong here, you will have to wait for a volunteer editor to look at your site, at which point the editor will conclude that your site does not belong at the European level. The editor will then send it down to the country he thinks your site belongs in (he probably won't go through the trouble to determine the proper locality, which is a job you should have done). Once at the country level, your site will again have to wait for a volunteer editor to take an interest in the country level real estate category, that editor will also see that it does not belong at the national level and send it to the right locality, where your site will be waiting again for another editor to take an interest. Thus by submitting to this category it will take 3 times more time for your site to get listed, then it would if you had submitted it directly to the proper category for your locality. With the current backlog of sites to process this means that by submitting here it could take years for your site to get listed. So save yourself the time and get listed faster: choose an appropriate subcategory to start with.

If there is no real estate category for your locality, submit your site to the "Business and Economy" category for your locality. If that category does not exist, submit it directly to the category for the locality.

Please only submit sites which have an English section, submit sites which are entirely in another language to the appropriate category in the appropriate language in World. If you are submitting a multilingual site, please submit the entry page URL and provide a language choice on the entry page.

When submitting a website, please follow these simple rules.

• Title The name of your company or business.
• Description Describe what the company does and what the website offers.

Do not stuff your title or description with keywords, they will be removed, failure to provide a good title and description requires that the editor does that work. The less work an editor has to make your site listable the faster it will get listed.

The editor of this category may not be using the same operating system and/or browser as you are, in fact it is very likely that he or she is not, so please ensure that your site works for other browsers and operating systems than your own before submitting here. If your site cannot be reviewed by the editor it cannot be added to the directory.

Notice: Multiple submissions, repeat submissions, submission of mirror sites and similar techniques, with the intention of 'forcing' a higher placement on the directory are most unwelcome and unnecessary. Such behavior will almost certainly delay, if not completely prevent, your submission being listed. (See the ODP terms of service)

The ODP is a directory edited by human volunteers, all submissions are reviewed and edited fairly, but this can take some time.

Of particular importance is to note that this category should contain sites offering information on real property throughout Europe.
