"Located 600 km. off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Cocos Island is one of the most beautiful jewels in the Costa Rican National Park system. It is also one of the most important due to its biogeographic uniqueness and its high number of endemic species, those occurring nowhere else in the world.
