Trinidad and Tobago is a multiethnic country, consisting of two main islands, and peoples from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. This twin-island republic located at the southern end of the chain of islands in the Caribbean, has been independent since 1962 and is populated by approximately 1.3 million people. Trinidad and Tobago has a wide variety of festivals, ethnic organizations, religions, and social organizations, all of which are the subject of this category.
