Camiguin is a pear-shape volcanic island lying in the Bohol Sea, some 54 kms. southeast of Chocolate Hills and some 90 kms. north of Cagayan de Oro airport, 120 kms. southeast of Mactan International Airport and 10 kms. north of Misamis Oriental.

South Cotabato was declared a province on June 18, 1966 when the old Cotabato province was divided into North Cotabato and South Cotabato.

Sultan Kudarat

Sultan Kudarat is located on the southwestern part of Mindanao Island. It was created on November 22, 1973 from part of Cotabato and was named after the Muslim leader Sultan Muhammad Dipatuan Kudarat.
