Necessary standard abbreviations used in titles include:

• SK - Sekolah Kebangsaan (National School)
• SRK - Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan (National Primary School)
• SJKC - Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (National Type School Chinese-medium)
• TADIKA - Taman Didikan Kanak-kanak (Child Training Centre)
• TASKA - Taman Asuhan Kanak-kanak (Child Care Centre)
