The University of Saskatchewan includes 13 colleges, the Extension Division, and the U of S Library, as well as several virtual, federated, and affiliated colleges.In addition, the U of S is the only Canadian university that offers all five health sciences and a teaching hospital on the same campus.

The College of Agriculture was created in 1912, three years after the University of Saskatchewan began offering classes. It immediately established itself as an integral part of the University.The College offers courses leading to a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.S.A.), Diploma in Agriculture, Certificate in Agriculture (Crop Production or Farm Business Management), and Prairie Horticulture Certificate. The College also provides a Co-operative Education option.

The College of Arts and Science is the oldest and largest college at the University of Saskatchewan. Formed in 1908, the College has grown from 70 students to nearly 7000. Since the late 1980s, the College has offered students the opportunity to complete the first two years of an Arts and Science degree at either the main campus or one of the seven off-campus sites located in Saskatchewan.The College of Arts and Science is the most diverse college at the U of S, with 22 departments and four affiliated departments. Students may pursue over 40 areas of discipline- and interdisciplinary-based study. These subject areas are grouped into four program types: Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Fine Arts.
The College offers courses leading to the following degrees or certificates: Bachelor of Arts (Three- and Four-Year & Honours), Bachelor of Science (Three- and Four-Year & Honours), Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Advanced or Honours Certificate in Arts, Advanced or Honours Certificate in Science, and Post-Degree Specialization Certificate.

The College of Commerce began as the School of Accounting, which was established in 1915 and began classes in 1917. It evolved to the broader College of Commerce in 1943. The mission of the College is: Developing tomorrow's leaders, managers and professional specialists, through teaching, research and service.The College of Commerce offers a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Professional (MPAcc), and a Master of Science in Finance, Accounting and Marketing. The U of S is the only university in Canada that offers graduate-level courses designed specifically around Aboriginal business concepts.
The College also has three certificate programs: Business Administration Certificate, Labour Studies Certificate, and a Certificate in Indigenous Business Administration which is provided jointly with the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College.

The U of S Senate approved the establishment of the College of Dentistry in 1965. The first class of students graduated in 1972. The mission of the College is to educate dentists to provide high quality oral health care to the people of Saskatchewan and to advance clinical and scientific knowledge through research.There are two departments within the College of Dentistry: Biological, Diagnostic & Surgical Sciences, and Community & Clinical Dentistry. The College offers courses leading to a four-year Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.).

The College of Education was formed at the University of Saskatchewan in 1927. Previously, teacher education was a non-degree program, first taught at Normal School and then at Teacher's College.The College offers courses leading to a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Students may complete a 5-year combined Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Music in Music Education or Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Bachelor of Education. The College also offers classes leading to certificates: Aboriginal Teacher Associate, Ecological Education, Methods of Teaching Heritage Languages, Post-Secondary Technical Vocational Education.
The College offers programs leading to the Master of Education degree. The Department of Educational Administration has a regular Ph.D. program. Programs leading to a Ph.D. degree in other departments are available on a special case basis. Post-graduate Diploma programs are also available.

The University of Saskatchewan began offering engineering classes in 1912. The College of Engineering was established in 1921. The College is located in the Engineering Building and a new wing was added in 1986. The Engineering Building also houses the Peter N. Nikiforuk Innovative Teaching and Learning Centre.

The College was formed at the University of Saskatchewan in 1946 as the College of Graduate Studies. Our first Dean was Dr. T. Thorvaldson. In 1971 the College was renamed the College of Graduate Studies and Research. The College's mission is to define and support excellence in graduate education, and the research and scholarly activities associated with it.

In 1958 the School of Physical Education was established within the College of Arts and Science. With the formation of the School, a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education was created.The School was granted College status in 1972 and became the College of Physical Education. The degree became a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Finally, in 1998 the College was renamed the College of Kinesiology. The degree was renamed the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology [B.Sc.(Kin.)].

The College of Law was established in 1912. It was the third independent college at the University of Saskatchewan. The first students began classes in 1913. The mission of the College of Law is to provide a critical and reflective education so that students have the best possible academic preparation for assuming professional responsibilities in the humane operation of the legal system and for all vocations in which an understanding of law is necessary or helpful.In 1975, the College of Law established the Native Law Centre. The Centre was designed to promote the development of law and legal systems in ways that would benefit Aboriginal communities in Canada. A half-time program was introduced in 1979 to allow flexibility for students and to increase equity.
Upon successful completion of their studies, students will receive a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). The Master's of Laws (LL.M.) program offers opportunities for students to conduct graduate work in areas such as human rights, international, environmental, criminal and commercial law.

Medical education began at the University of Saskatchewan in 1926. Students did not complete their education here, they attended other medical colleges in Canada to complete their degrees. The College developed into a medical degree granting institution in 1957.A diploma program in Physical Therapy began in 1965 in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Medicine. In 1976, the School of Physical Therapy was formed within the College of Medicine and the degree program was established.
The College offers courses leading to Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Bachelor of Science in Medicine (B.Sc.Med.), and Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (B.Sc.P.T.). Graduate programs are available in various departments.

The College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan was established as a school in 1938 and became a college on July 1, 1973. The College believes in the value of human life, the inherent worth of the individual and the attainment of a high standard of health as the right of every individual. The mission of the College of Nursing is to promote high quality nursing and health care through education, research and services.The Nursing Education Program (NEPS) is a collaborative program of the U of S and the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST). It is a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree awarded by the U of S.
The College of Nursing offers years three and four of NEPS in Saskatoon and Regina, and SIAST offers years one and two at both sites.
The Post-Registration BSN Program leads to a B.S.N. degree. It builds on knowledge and skills obtained in diploma programs for registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, preparing the nurse to use greater discrimination in making nursing judgements and working with broader concepts of the personal and social aspects of health and illness.
The Native Access Program to Nursing (NAPN) was established in 1985 by a joint partnership between the U of S College of Nursing and the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College, University of Regina. NAPN is a support and retention service for Aboriginal students enrolled in the Nursing Education Program of Saskatchewan (NEPS).
The Master in Nursing (M.N.) is a two-year program, with thesis and non-thesis options. The program provides nurses with advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in preparation for the role of clinical nurse specialist, teaching or nursing administration.
Continuing Nursing Eduation (CNE) is part of the College of Nursing's commitment to the promotion of excellence in nursing practice in Saskatchewan. CNE provides nurses with opportunities for continuing education and professional development.

In 1913 the School of Pharmacy was formed at the University of Saskatchewan. The School became the College of Pharmacy in 1921. In 1987, the Division of Nutrition and Dietetics was established. In 1994, the College changed its name and became the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition.The College's vision is to promote optimal nutrition and rational use of medication - key elements in the prevention and treatment of disease - and to continue to serve society by meeting the challenges of a changing health care system and supporting greater emphasis on community-based, patient-centred care.
The College's mission is to prepare graduates to enter the practices of pharmacy and nutrition/dietetics or to pursue careers in pharmaceutical and nutritional sciences.

The Western College of Veterinary Medicine was established at the University of Saskatchewan in 1964, as a result of a decision by representatives of University, the governments of the four western provinces and the federal government. The first class entered the College in 1965.There are five departments within the College, as well as a fully functional Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
The College offers courses leading to the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.).
