Nova Scotia Agricultural College

Founded in 1905, The Nova Scotia Agricultural College has come of age and stands at the threshold of a new era in agricultural education, training and research. As a university college, the NSAC provides agricultural based Technical, Technology, Bachelor and Masters level programs in its capacity as the Atlantic institution with the mandate for post-secondary education in agriculture. Situated on 265 hectares of fertile intervale along the Salmon River in Bible Hill, the College's facilities have expanded rapidly in recent years. Improvements to the farm complex and research facilities now make it one of the most modern, best equipped colleges in the Atlantic region.

Bio-Resource Engineering, Agricultural Environmental Studies and Aquaculture have been added to an already wide-range of majors and minors leading to the Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) degree awarded in association with Dalhousie University, A Bachelor of Technology degree in Landscape Horticulture is the first such major to be offered in Canada. Environmental Engineering is available as part of the two-year engineering program leading to the DalTech Bachelor of Engineering degree. The NSAC Masters program has opened up exciting new areas for graduate study. This program is offered jointly with Dalhousie University.
