This sub-category is dedicated to the Groups and Councils of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement - WOSM.The BSA was founded by Ernest Thompson Seton on the English model of Lord Robert Baden-Powell. The Boy Scouts of America was first incorporated on February 8, 1910 and subsequently chartered by Congress in 1916 as a private organization. The largest youth organization in the United States, the BSA works to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

The council is the subdivision of the Boy Scouts of America that administrates the program at the local level. Generally based on populations, density, and size; The area that a council office provides a program in ranges from one large city to multiple small states. Councils are further divided into districts in similar fashion.

Cub scouting is the section of the Boy Scouts of America for boys age 6 to 11. This includes the program for senior cub scouts called WEBELOS.

Districts are the subdivisions of Councils in the BSA. Districts are not autonomous but are an organizational necessity of most Councils. Districts are generally based on regional statistics such as population, density, and square mileage. This category contains sites that are specifically for individual districts.

The Order of the Arrow, OA, is a national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. Founded by Dr. E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A. Sea Scout Ships of the Boy Scouts of America.The Sea Scouts were begun in the United Kingdom by Lord Baden-Powell and his brother, an avid sailor, Warrington Baden-Powell.
Sea Scouting in America was founded in 1912. That year, Arthur A. Carey of Waltham, Massachusetts, had Sea Scouts using the schooner Pioneer and was appointed Chairman of the National Council Committee on Sea Scouting. That summer, Charles T. Longstreth organized the first Sea Scout patrol that had use of his yacht in Philadelphia.
Sea Scouting, now part of the Exploring program, is organized to promote better citizenship and to improve members' boating skills and knowledge through instruction and practice in water safety, and boating skills through a program of sailing, outdoor, social, and service experiences. It also promotes knowledge of American maritime heritage. It is a co-educational program for 14 to 21 year olds.
