Individual radio operators are the foundation of the amateur service. Whether veteran or novice, the vast majority are not only eager to become proficient in the operation of their own station, but are often willing to share their knowledge and experience with others. There is also a healthy contribution of anecdotes to add bring levity and poignancy to the experience.
