- Since with most breeds, it is the dog that is being 'rescued', this is a mandatory category for rehoming Bloodhounds. Because of the special needs of the Bloodhound, these matters are best dealt with through the breed club in that region.
- Given the special abilities of the Bloodhound, it is usually the hound that is doing the 'rescuing'.
- People in need of a search team, should in the first instance contact the police in their country.
- Try the ODP category Search_Dogs or Police_and_Military_Working_Dogs.
