Technical Diving is the name given to dives where a breathing mixture other than air is used - at some point during the dive.

Examples: Oxygen - typically used as a decompression gas Nitrox - Used as a decompression gas and for shallow dives (extends the bottom time / reduces the nitrogen loading). Trimix - Deep Dives


Nitrox

Nitrox is the term given to any mixture of Nitrogen and Oxygen.
