Sites submitted to this category should provide information about camp programs for individuals with special needs.

Programs for people with a specific disability or illness (cancer, diabetes, etc.) should be submitted to the appropriate subcategory.

Camps for people of all ages with mental, physical, and developmental disabilities and/or chronic or terminal illnesses.

These include day, respite, and residential (overnight) programs. Many camps also provide programs for family members of those living with an illness or disability. Some camps offer year-round activities; some have only summer and/or holiday programs.


Cancer

Please submit only sites for camps that cater specifically to campers with cancer or their families. If a camp offers programs for more than one illness or disability, it should be submitted to Recreation/Camps/Special_Needs.

This category is for resident or day camps for children, adults, or families affected by cancer.

Deaf and Hearing Impaired

A category for sites about camps which specialize in helping those with hearing problems, whether it be for those who are deaf or hearing impaired.

Camps which seek to meet multiple needs including deafness and other special needs such as blindness, are listed one level up in Recreation/Camps/Special_Needs.

Diabetes

For sites about camps which specialize in helping diabetic campers.

Sites about camps which do not specialize in helping diabetics but which are willing and able to accept diabetic campers are listed elsewhere in Recreation/Camps.

Learning Disabilities

Sites submitted to this category should provide information about camp programs for individuals with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders and behavioral disorders.

If a camp offers programs for more than one illness or disability, it should be submitted to Recreation/Camps/Special_Needs.
