Lowriders are vehicles that have had their stock riding heights decreased, so they are closer to the ground. This is done primarily to improve looks, but can also be done to improve handling, etc. The term "lowriders" can also be used to describe vehicles with hydraulics, air bags, etc., which enables their ride height to be varied.
