This category lists pages and sites about Plato (ancient Greek: Πλάτων, Plátōn, "wide, broad-shouldered") (c. 428/427 BC –c. 348/347 BC), an ancient Greek philosopher and the most famous of Socrates's pupils. After the death of Socrates, Plato carried on much of his former teacher's work and eventually founded his own school, the Academy, in 385.
