Biscuits

A biscuit (in North America) is a small form of bread made with baking powder or baking soda as a leavening agent rather than yeast.

Muffins

Baking powder leavened bread. Results in a thick, fluffy pastry typically about 8 cm in diameter. In modern practice, it almost always has a "topping" baked in.

Scones

A scones is a thick bread made of wheat, barley or oatmeal, usually with baking powder as leavening agent.
