Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP, Steele-Richardson-Olszewski Syndrome) is a neurodegenerative disease with loss of neurons in the basal ganglia (pallidum, substantia nigra, subthalamic nucleus) and brainstem.

The most important clinical signs are postural instability and a vertical gaze palsy combined with parkinsonian symptoms.
