Tempest 2000 is the sequel to the arcade classic originally written for the Atari Jaguar by Jeff Minter. This was one of the most popular Jaguar games and has been since ported to almost all console platforms.
Tempest 2000 was created by Jeff Minter (Llamasoft) originally for the Atari Jaguar 64 platform. The game was later ported to many other platforms.
Tempest 3000 is an update by Jeff "Yak" Minter to the Arcade Classic. This game is an exclusive for the NUON gaming platform.
