Clans are associations of players for any one game that play as a team. They are often bound by a set of "clan rules" and may devided into different ranks based on their seniority. Clans can battle other clans online through ladders such as the Online Gaming League (OGL) or the Team Warfare ladder (TWL). A clan website can serve as a front for recruitment, a way to learn more information about a clan, and also to organize challenges.
