The original game, 'The Empire Strikes Back', was the first Star Wars video game, released for Atari 2600 in 1982. An arcade version appeared in 1985. In 1991 the game was released for NES, with a Game Boy version in the following year. In 1993 'Super Empire Strikes Back' was developed for the SNES.

Star Wars Rebellion is a real time strategy game of galactic expansion and domination, presented by Lucas Arts. At the game's start, players choose to take the role of either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire. Players then battle it out for control of the known Star Wars galaxy through strategic deft and tactical savvy. The game was released in Europe under the name Supremacy.

'Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire' was released for Nintendo 64 in 1996, and PC in 1997. The player controls mercenary Dash Rendar through a set of action/adventure sequences. The game complements a series of products themed around a period set between movies The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Series of space combat games developed by Totally Games. X-Wing was first released in 1993, and was followed by TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. X-Wing was the first Star Wars games to feature true space simulation. The series is characterized by strong adherence to the plot and background of the initial set of Star Wars movies.

Yoda Stories
