The time taken for your submission to be accepted will be increased if you submit to the wrong directory. In short, the category editor assesses each submission and if found to be in the wrong category, the editor will resubmit your site to the correct category on your behalf. This obviously increases the time for review.
If you primarily offer personal one-on-one lessons, your site should be submitted to the Games/Board_Games/Abstract/Battle_Games/Chess/Education/Scholastic category. This is a common mistake. Note that there are also other categories for problems (puzzles), books, clubs or chess history.
If your site contains more content than just tutorials and FAQs, consider the primary purpose of your site. If it is to offer tutorials or FAQs, submit your site here. If the purpose is to offer more than tutorials or FAQs, submit your site to a higher category. Note that the higher the category, the harder it is to be listed and the longer it may take. Generally, you cannot submit subpages of your site to multiple categories.
Please spend time researching the categories before submitting your site. Time spent here will save a lot of time later on. |
