IceWM is a window manager for the X Window System. It is relatively lightweight in terms of memory and CPU usage, and comes with themes that allow it to imitate several graphical user interfaces. IceWM is a "stacking window manager" (also called "floating window manager"), drawing all windows in a specific order, allowing them to overlap.

The aim of IceWM is to have good 'Feel' and decent 'Look'. It is a window manager optimized for speed, size, usability and consistency. Additional feature is a configurable look (themes) and some integration with desktop environments like GNOME and KDE.
