1   Q: Can I submit my blog as an entry to this category?
A: No. Blogs will not be considered the primary web site for a photographer, and in an effort to prevent multiple entries for the same photographer will not be included in this category.

2   Q: Why has my submission been modified?
A: Incorrect spelling or grammar will be improved, any descriptive words in the title will be moved to the site description, and upper-casing in the description will be lower-cased (except for actual names of people or places and the beginning word of a sentence).

3   Q: I'm a wedding photographer, but I shoot bridal and engagement portraits. Should I submit to this category?
A: No. You should submit to the appropriate wedding category.

4   Q: I'm a pet photographer. Should I submit to this category?
A: Yes. There is no separate pet photography directory, so this is the appropriate category.

5   Q: I'm an editorial portrait photographer. Should I submit to this category?
A: No. This category is for portrait photographers who service the general public - not the media or commercial businesses. Look for the appropriate photojournalism or commercial category.

6   Q: Why has my site not been added to DMOZ?
A: There can be several reasons. The first would be to ask for some patience. I'm a working portrait photographer myself. As this is a volunteer position, I will prioritize my paying customers during my busy periods of spring and the months before the winter holiday. I aim to always update the listings within the month, however.

7   Q: Okay. But why haven't I STILL been listed?
A: Your site must be active and show that you are a portrait photographer servicing the general public in the state of Texas. You must include at least 4-5 portrait images and at least include a region in your website. Check to make sure your site is currently working! Mirror sites, or duplicate submissions such as blog-only sites, are not allowed. The site should have its own domain name. Sites that are community sharing photo-sites like Flickr might not be included. If you still have questions, please email me.

8   Q: Do you have any suggestions?
A: Yes. Always include a place (like Dallas) in your description. Search engines hunt for keywords, and that place will help customers find you.
