Christy, which ran on CBS from April 1994 to August 1995, tells the story of a young woman, played by Kellie Martin, who left her home in the East to teach in a remote Appalachian community in 1912. It is based on a novel by Catherine Marshall. A PAX Network mini-series based on Christy stars Lauren Lee Smith as Christy.
