Christopher Gable - British ballet dancer and actor, born 13 March 1940, London, England, died (from cancer) 23 October 1998, Near Halifax, Yorkshire, England. He was an international ballet star, but became an actor in the late 60's because of arthritis, appearing in several films, mostly directed by Ken Russell. He received the CBE (Commander of the British Empire) in 1996.
