Peri Gilpin (*1961 in Waco, TX) was born as Peri Kay Oldham. She was raised in Dallas, where she studied acting at the Dallas Theater Center. Later she studied acting also at the University of Texas and at London's British-American Academy.
Her best known part is the one of Roz Doyle in TV series "Frasier" (since 1993). In "Final Fantasy" (2001) she loaned her voice to Officer Jane Proudfoot.
