Folk Rock, what else can I say but the day Dylan and others turned electric, while singing folk songs. Concert in 1966 at Free Trade Hall, Manchester.
Garage was one of the founding styles 60s music, it was mostly based in America, where countless young teenagers would have practice sessions in their parents garages. I think that the garage must have been the only place where their parents could get rid of the awful din they made. One of the most famous garage groups is of course The Kingsmen.
This is for music of a psychedelic nature, the American and British underground mostly.
