John Williams (1932- ), born in Queens, NY, is an American composer with a long list of works. Most recognizable are his pieces from the movies of Stephen Spielberg. Currently the most-nominated person in the Academy Awards, he is also widely known for his former prestigious position as conductor for the Boston Pops.
