Eric has appeared on CNN People In The News and The Oprah Winfrey Show.Eric started recording music at the age of 12 much like his uncle Grammy winner Smokey Robinson of Motown fame, in 1995 West released his debut single End Of The World in Asia, it achieved Top 10 status on the Tokyo Hot 100 singles chart, right before he turned 15 he had finished recording a full-length album that was never released. In the summer of 1998 Eric took his voice to radio, at age 16 he was the youngest DJ in history on FM radio in New York City, when he became a CO-host of the Top 9 at 9 on WBLS with radio diva JC Jordan.
After nearly 3 years out of the spotlight Eric returned briefly in 2001 with Can You Help Me? his first single in over 5 years, produced by Stay-C Hogan and written by Eric West it became an international hit topping the B-Radio Latin American radio charts for 2 weeks, rivaling songs by Justin Timberlake and Madonna for the No. 1 spot, while hitting Top 5 in Chile, Bolivia and Mexico, rumors of an album being released floated around on the Internet, but were untrue at the time. In 2002 Eric got together with Grammy winning producers David Foster (Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston) and Carole Bayer Sager (Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond) to write a song for Pop icon Cher for her forthcoming album.
Eric once again disappeared until early 2004 but returned bigger than ever. He signed a deal with Artist Against Racism to appear in their TV commercial's in America. In 2004 Eric also appeared in his own fashion spread in Marie Clarie Japan. He was featured as one of fashion's top new models and singers, and that was just early 2004.
On August 28th, Eric made media headlines worldwide when he wore a "I Support Janet Jackson" T-shirt to the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards. Which was a bold statment in regard to Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime controversy. Eric told Teen People USA, "It was my way of showing Janet support after being blacklisted by so many media outlets". The T-shirt earned mentions in the NY Daily News, New York Post, Miami Herald and Los Angeles Times to name a few. Janet Jackson and her fanclub sent the singer a thank you message for his support.
Eric started work on his debut album Half Life due in early 2005. Eric was scheduled to tour the UK as opening act for European superstar Matt Goss famous for UK hits When Will I Be Famous, Try and I'm Coming With Ya, but the tour was canceled due to Goss' recent ill health.

Wild OrchidMembers Names: Stafanie Ridel, Renee Sandstrom and Stacy Ferguson.
Wild Orchid began while the girls were only in their mid-teens. The band sung back-up on Martika's Billboard #1 hit "Toy Soldiers," later on Renee's brother, songwriter Bobby Sandstrom, helped them write and record demos, several of which landed on the desks of industry heavyweights. They signed a music publishing deal with Sony, and soon had a label bidding war going. RCA won the day, and in 1997, Wild Orchid's self-titled (and largely self-written) debut album was released selling over a million units worldwide, and spawning early Billboard Top 10 hits like "Talk To Me" (a record that made Wild Orchid one of the few female groups in history to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard Dance Chart), "At Night I Pray," a record that spent 5 months on the Billboard Hot 100 and "Supernatural," which spent an amazing 5 months on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart. The album also received 2 Billboard Award nominations for "Talk To Me," 2 Lady Of Soul - Soul Train Award nominations, one for Album of The Year by A Group, Band or Duo and Best Music Video, for "Talk To Me" and an American Music Award nomination for Favorite R&B/Soul New Artist.
Subsequent tours with 98 Degrees and 'NSYNC and the release of their second album followed. Oxygen hit in 1998 including the Billboard Chart hit "Be Mine," and "Come As You Are," solidifying the gains of the first album. On this album, two thirds of the songs were written by the trio, and soon the group toured across the U.S. and Asia. On the strength of their increasing momentum and a couple of memorable appearances on E! Channel, Wild Orchid was chosen to host the ABC Family Channel's most popular Saturday morning show "Great Pretenders," which features chart hits lip-synched by everyday kids, while competing for top prizes. As if all this wasn't enough, most recently the group completed an exhaustive 52-city sold out tour with Cher and Cyndi Lauper.
The trio worked with a variety of A-list writers/producers on their follow up FIRE, including Oliver Lieber (BBMak, Rod Stewart, Bif Naked), Robbie Neville (Willa Ford, Ricky Martin, Jessica Simpson), 3AM and Sweden's Epicenter. Most excitingly, they teamed with long-time friend JC Chasez of 'NSYNC, who wrote and produced "Just Another Girl", "U Knew", "Lies" (the B-side to the single "Stuttering" a top 40 hit on the Billboard charts, and Top 10 hit in Japan, New Zealand, Holland and Australia), and the title track "Fire". "This was the first time JC has produced another artist," As down to earth as all three may be during down time, when it is showtime, they deliver big time. Uptempo tracks like "Stuttering" (the first single) produced and written by the production team 3 AM, "Simon Says", "Do Me Right" and "It's All Your Fault" contrast with ballads like "It's Only Your Love," "One Moment," and the optimistic "Little Bit Of Lovin'." "World Without You," one of the album's most adventurous tracks, is a sultry meditation on the meaning of connection.

After collapsing onstage in 1975, he remained in a coma until his death over eight years later."Jackie Wilson was one of the most important agents of black pop's transition from R&B into soul.
