Joined the Velvets after Lou Reed's departure in 1970.

MacLise, Angus

Poet and percussionist, founding member of the Velvet Underground; quit the band upon learning they were being paid for their first gig. Died in 1979.

Morrison, Sterling

Lead/rhythm guitarist for the Velvet Underground; died of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1995.

Nico

German model/actress/chanteuse who sang with the Velvets in their early days. Died in a bicycling accident in 1988.

Tucker, Maureen

Drummer for the legendary Velvet Underground.

Yule, Billy

Doug Yule's younger brother, who filled in as drummer for the Velvets for a short time in 1970 while Maureen Tucker was pregnant.

Yule, Doug

Guitarist/keyboardist for the Velvet Underground; replaced John Cale in 1968.
