The Small Faces were a British rock and roll band from the 60s consisting of Steve Marriott, Kenney Jones, Ronnie Lane, and Ian McLagan. When Marriott left in 1969 to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton, the renamed Faces were joined by Ron Wood and Rod Stewart.

Lane, Ronnie

Ronnie Lane - bassist, songwriter and co-founder of The Small Faces and The Faces.
He was born on 1st April 1946 in Plaistow, East London, and died on 4th June 1997 in Trinidad, Tobago, after a long struggle with multiple sclerosis.
