The futuristic tale, based on a graphic novel, is set in a fascist, fictional London in an alternate universe of the near future. It tells the story of a young woman who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as “V”, a mysterious character who models himself on Guy Fawkes, a Catholic revolutionary who tried to blow up Parliament on Nov. 5, 1605.

Based on actual events, a plot to assassinate Hitler is unfurled during the height of WWII.
