Film director; born in Glasgow. He acted in at least 50 films and directed more than 120, started his Hollywood career with silent movies. Also a talented writer and producer. Lloyd was one of the founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Winner of two Acedemy Awards for Best Director for the films, "Cavalcade" and "The Divine Lady."
