Top: Arts: Genres: Science_Fiction_and_Fantasy: Themes: Fantasy_Races_and_Creatures: Dragons

This category is for sites containing predominantly dragon creature content. Various races, species, or relations of dragons may also be listed such as hydras, drakes, wyverns and international dragons such as the naga, lindworm and nidhogg. Fantasy game and film dragons are also welcome.

This dragon category is intended for (although not limited to) sites including fansites, community, art, sculpture, fantasy, books, resources, fiction, non-fiction, history, legend, and mythology. Sites may be a mix of content, combining fiction and non-fiction. For art or artists who specialize on the subject of dragons, please submit the site to the dragon art subcategory.

If your site doesn't meet the above criteria, and is submitted here anyway, inclusion in the directory can be delayed by the sorting process. Please try to find the most specific category for your site before submitting.

Should sites be studies, theses, social analysis, oral tradition such as stories passed down from generation to generation, then please submit these sites to the more specialized category: Society/Folklore/Literature/Tales/Fabulous_Creatures/Dragons

Elsewhere on the ODP, dragon related information may be found on and submitted to collecting and collectors, dragon cyber pet adoptions, and shops selling collectibles. Sites about lizards such as the Bearded Dragon and Water Dragon may be found at: Recreation/Pets/Reptiles_and_Amphibians/Lizards.

Thank you, and please enjoy submitting your website.

Dragons are not unlike lizards, and range roughly in size from tiny to gigantic. Of the various versions of dragons, they may also be quite humanoid. Some dragons fly, some dragons swim, and some do neither. Though their hides are often considered to be covered in scales, tales and art have depicted them with hair, fur, feathers, or leathery skin. The colours of dragons in fantasy and mythology have been any and every colour and combination.

Personal Pages

Sites submitted should contain predominantly dragon content and include other personal information or interests such as hobbies, friends, family, personality, personal history, site awards and/or links.
Dragon personal homepages often showcase the site author and their interests, especially showcasing their enthusiasm or belief of dragons.

Web Rings

Please submit Web Rings which only contain sites about or related to dragons. Also, please do not submit a direct url to a Yahoo! Ring or Netsurf Homepage. A permanent page with more detailed instructions is preferred.

Webrings are a quick way to get from one webpage to another. Webmasters sign up to be included in the ring, and include the ring's html code in their website. The code commonly includes links to the ring list, the next site in the ring, and a random site in the ring. This allows users to skip from one webring member's page to the next, and can provide a fun alternative to choosing a site to visit from a directory like the Open Directory Project.

Web Rings in this category should hold sites directly about Dragons, and not about fantasy in general.
